Root Canal Therapy
WHAT IS ROOT CANAL THERAPY?
A treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is decayed or infected.
REASONS FOR ROOT CANAL THERAPY:
Alleviate pain
Prevent further damage to tooth
Restore tooth functionality
PROCESS OF ROOT CANAL THERAPY:
An X-ray is performed to view the shape of the root canals to determine any signs of infection in the surrounding bone. Anesthetics may be applied near the area of the tooth depending on the tooth. A sheet of rubber will then be placed around the tooth to keep it dry and free of saliva during the treatment. An access hole will be created in the tooth and the pulp, bacteria, and debris will be removed from the tooth. The tooth will then be filed accordingly, cleaned, and sealed accordingly to the client’s needs and wellness.
